Wind’s Presence

What is the thing we call Wind? We cannot taste, smell, or see it...yet, it leaves behind impressions in its wake, sharing what it's been up to, such as the snow in this photo. This is how spirit shows up as well, without tangible attributes that can be held, or put under a microscope...yet it too, leaves very discernible remnants that are demonstrated by the change in our perspective, an open heart, peace, and gratitude.

Imagine how our ancient ancestors would have thought of wind and its attributes.  This thing that cannot be directly seen, heard, smelled, touched, or tasted other than through secondary means, would be a mysterious force indeed.  Even with our current understanding, I'm still amazed to watch its invisible hand play with leaves, dance across water, swirl snowflakes, and whistle across the landscape on a blustery day.  As much as we know, it still cannot be contained, held, dissected, or stopped.  It operates on its own terms, in constant relationship with the sun and moon and the elements it moves across.  It is by far the most mysterious and playful of the natural forces and has so much to teach us if we are only willing to surrender to its call.

The same is true with the subtler energy that flows all around and through us, contained by no boundaries or rules other than those of being infinite, available to all and everywhere, and without judgment of how it is used for creation.  This leads to a very interesting quagmire...if the creative force of our existence doesn't care how it is used, then why do we assign good or bad to it?  And why do things that were once good suddenly become bad, or inappropriate?  Be very careful when trying to contain the limitless creative force of the universe, for it cannot be controlled any more than the wind can and trying to do so often leads to unforeseen consequences of natural law...for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

When we observe the expression of spirit with a sense of wonder and joy, we will experience its touch in the world and our lives through the grace it leaves in its wake, much akin to the wind moving the physical reality, spirit moves across the landscape of our soul; awakening, moving, and shifting our perspective and the course our ship moves towards. consciousness that will lead you on a soul journey to your highest potential.  See you there...Nature.
